COURSE OVERVIEW

A true championship test

The Albatros is a par-72 course with exposed fairways, substantial water hazards, deep rough and large, contoured greens. Its famous closing stretch rewards accuracy and nerve.

HOW TO PLAY

Prioritize position over distance

Choose conservative targets from the tee, favor the safer side of fairways and leave yourself comfortable approaches. Around the greens, avoid short-siding yourself because recovery shots can be difficult.

KEY CHALLENGES

Respect the hazards

Water and penal rough influence many decisions, particularly late in the round. Study the hole map before playing and identify bailout zones before choosing each club.

BOOKING

Reserve the right experience

Check the official club booking calendar for visitor access, tee times, handicap requirements, caddie or trolley options, and maintenance closures. Availability and conditions can change by season.

WHERE TO STAY

Base yourself near Versailles

Versailles or Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines offers the easiest balance of course access, restaurants and sightseeing. Central Paris works too, but adds travel time on golf days.

SAMPLE ITINERARY
