Why golfers watch him
A modern problem-solver
Fitzpatrick is compelling because he treats golf like an ongoing experiment: testing equipment, studying statistics and adapting his strategy to the course. He can win through ball-striking, patience and late-round execution rather than overpowering every hole.
Equipment note
An unconventional setup
Reported 2026 equipment coverage highlighted Fitzpatrick using older Ping S55 irons, a reminder that confidence and fitting can matter more than having the newest release. His exact tournament setup can change, so this should be treated as reported rather than an official permanent bag.
